Burness Paull as our first corporate team to sign up to DARED!
After launching our team sign up initiative for the first-time last year, we had our first official corporate involvement in DARED. The law firm, Burness Paull, signed up to DARED 2022 with a team of 14 trainees from across their offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen.
The team leader, and DARED Champion, Amy, was instrumental in organising the team, and encouraging everyone to sign up to stay fit over the summer, whilst exercising their corporate responsibility to support a local charity.

After introducing the incentive of getting team names on your t-shirts when you sign up via the Eventbrite in a team of 5 or more, each trainee got a personalised t-shirt with ‘Team Burness Paull’ written on the back, to make their team feel more official.
The group of trainees took part from various offices across Scotland, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen, which is one of the great things about DARED being a virtual challenge.
Throughout the challenge, they organised group runs from each of their offices during lunch time, and after work, making it a great way to socialise and get to know colleagues across different teams.
By the end of the challenge, the 14 trainees had run over 700 miles collectively, which is roughly the distance from Burness Paull’s Edinburgh office on Lothian Road, to Paris!
Team Burness Paull were our top fundraising team, raising £2,260 in total for Circle’s children and families. 
Not only was DARED a great way to bring new trainees together, stay fit, and boost morale in the office, but the impressive fundraising was a great way for Burness Paull to contribute towards their corporate responsibility and support a local charity.
